Charles Floate got into search at twelve and has lived through every major shift in organic search since, which is more than 17 years now. He built his name on The God of SEO, publishing ranking research and case studies pulled from live campaigns rather than thought experiments. He has written more than 500 blog posts and over 20 eBooks, and his training has reached tens of thousands of freelancers and businesses. He has consulted for Fortune 500 and Inc. 500 companies and directed more than $25M in combined client SEO and digital marketing spend.

His method is to build search infrastructure, test ranking theories against commercial outcomes, and throw out whatever fails. He has run more than 1,000 link building and digital PR campaigns and is CMO of PressWhizz, where he helped grow the marketplace past 40,000 publishers across more than 90 countries to over $10M ARR inside 18 months, on an editorial turnaround of 18 to 24 hours.

His experience goes well past client services. He owns a portfolio of more than 30 multilingual websites and is responsible for the ecommerce and IT infrastructure of a $70M family business, which is an operator’s job rather than a consultant’s.

The current research is all about AI search. He created AI Visibility Seeding, his own methodology for lifting brand visibility across ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews. He proved it on PressWhizz before selling it to anybody, taking the marketplace to number one in ChatGPT for “link building marketplace”, and he separately holds the number one ChatGPT spot for “best black hat SEO”.
