Itamar Blauer

Itamar Blauer is a London based marketing and growth leader with more than 15 years in SEO. His formal start in search and content was 2008, but he had been building digital assets and ranking them since he was nine. He has since built SEO strategy across more than 100 brands, from ambitious SMEs to billion dollar global businesses, both in consultancies and in house.

His expertise runs across technical SEO and content strategy, with more depth in enterprise search and ecommerce. He has worked in SaaS, technology and financial services, and supported organisations in higher education and travel. He contributed to the SEO chapter of the 2022 Web Almanac by HTTP Archive and took part in Similarweb research into organic performance during COVID-19, both of which are contributions to the industry’s evidence base rather than to his own marketing. His client work includes the campaign named Best Local SEO Campaign at the UK Search Awards 2024.

Blauer teaches about as much as he practises. He wrote Keywords for SEO and hosts the SEO Unplugged podcast, interviewing specialists from across search and digital marketing. His educational work has appeared on Moz and Semrush, and his output has reached marketers in very nearly every country in the world.

He speaks regularly at international conferences and has presented on how AI is changing travel search, which keeps him at the edge of the discipline rather than restating the settled parts of it.
