Jesper Nissen

Jesper Nissen has more than 18 years in IT and digital work, and he came to search from software testing and web development rather than from marketing. You can tell. Through his first company, Computerpeople, he built more than 700 websites and got to know CMS architecture inside out. As early as 2008 he designed an SEO focused content management system that automated page titles and metadata, well before anybody treated that as standard.

He later founded SEO Danmark, providing search strategy and services to businesses. His work runs on controlled experimentation, using ranking tests to establish how Google actually responds to a change rather than how the industry reckons it does. A Master’s degree in Physics and Quantum Mechanics from the University of Copenhagen explains the rigour, and the willingness to bin a hypothesis that fails.

His specialist areas are technical SEO and advanced link building, with particular depth in cloud stacking. He founded YACSS, Yet Another Cloud Stacking Software, to automate building cloud based websites in support of dofollow backlink strategies, and has extended the technique into local search visibility.

Nissen then built SchemaWriter.ai, applying what he knows about schema markup and structured data to semantic SEO, looking at how entities relate to content and how machine readable information helps interpretation. He works with other specialists on testing techniques against observed SERP behaviour, and has presented his cloud stacking work publicly at POFU LIVE 2022 and SEO Rockstars 2022.
