Jim Stewart has more than 20 years of hands on SEO behind him and more than three decades in digital marketing, having started out in newspaper advertising before the web changed how businesses reached anybody at all. Not many practitioners have worked across that entire transition.

As founder and CEO of StewArt Media he has worked with Telstra, Microsoft, Sanofi, Vanguard and Tony Bianco, alongside fast growing challengers in difficult markets. His experience covers ecommerce growth and paid media, with conversion rate optimisation tying search and advertising to a commercial result. Since 2005 he has published weekly educational videos on search and what it means for business performance, an unbroken run of two decades. His marketing blog has been recognised by SmartCompany.

What occupies him now is how artificial intelligence is changing search and discovery. He combines established SEO with approaches built for LLMs and AI bots, and looks at how emerging agents will find and transact with ecommerce businesses. That includes agentic commerce strategy and the development of Skaw, a tool addressing AI bot traffic and agent readiness. He is also involved with Yeildest, which surfaces Google Ads opportunities, and My Sales Coach, which applies technology to sales performance.

His book Beyond Google covers the move from conventional search towards AI driven discovery and what a business has to do to stay visible through it. Stewart speaks on digital marketing and comments in the media, with appearances on Sky News and ABC774.
