Matt Diggity

Matt Diggity is an entrepreneur and SEO expert who has built multiple seven figure digital businesses from nothing. He holds an M.S.E.E. from UC San Diego and started out at a Silicon Valley startup serving Intel and Qualcomm. The engineering background explains everything about how he works: testing, measurement and process optimisation applied to a field that quite often runs on assertion. After building profitable affiliate websites alongside the engineering job, he moved into SEO full time and passed his engineering salary through affiliate businesses including Amazon Affiliates projects.

He has built companies right across the industry, covering technical SEO and link building. He was Director of SEO Operations at LeadSpring before becoming CEO, developing an affiliate operation of more than 20 profitable websites. He founded Diggity Links to raise private blog network quality through better standards and smaller footprints, and the network stayed 0% deindexed through Google’s major 2014 PBN crackdown, which is the only test such a network ever really faces. Rank Club acquired the company in 2018. He also invested in Authority Builders, growing its white hat outreach and guest posting business. His exits include Authority Builders and Surfer, an AI powered SEO platform.

His research applies controlled experimentation to algorithms and ranking. Through the Diggity Blog and Diggity Lab he publishes test results on onsite SEO and backlink strategy. He sits on the board of The Search Initiative, a company working the most competitive niches going, and founded the Chiang Mai SEO Conference to push advanced industry education.
